Studio in East St Hadfield. Paul Lewis (current owner) came onboard as apprentice. Handwritten signs/traditional brushwork was still the main way their signage was being produced. However the late 80’s started to see changes in the industry with the introduction of computers and vinyl cut decals.

‘Alpha Lewis Signs’ 242 Dryburgh St North Melbourne. The 90’s saw Alpha Lewis formed. Moved to bigger more prominent premises in North Melbourne. There was a change of focus in signage, we moved to provide signage to bigger companies as well as local smaller jobs.
Computers and vinyl cut decals started to overtake traditional handwritten signage. Routers, full coloured digital printers saw a complete change in signwriting and a new world of possibilities for the client.
