Warranty
How long we stand behind each type of sign, what is covered and how to make a claim. Read this together with our Terms & Conditions.
This schedule sets out how long Alpha Lewis Signs Pty Ltd (ACN 082 813 796) (Alpha Lewis) stands behind different types of Goods and Installation. Each period runs from the date of Installation, or, where Alpha Lewis does not install, from the date the Goods are collected or delivered. Goods are placed in a category by what they are made of and how they are installed, not by the service page they come under. This schedule is given in addition to our Terms and Conditions and does not limit any rights a customer has under the Australian Consumer Law.

What These Terms Mean
Normal conditions means outdoor exposure in Victoria, on a surface the product is rated for, cleaned and cared for as set out in the Care Guidelines below.
Fading means a clear and noticeable colour change across the graphic. Minor or even weathering over time is not fading for the purposes of this warranty.
Remedy means repair or replacement of the affected area only, not the whole graphic or sign, unless the affected area cannot reasonably be repaired.
Care Guidelines
These guidelines are what we mean by cared for. They apply to printed and applied vinyl, vehicle wraps and painted signage.
- Wash by hand with mild detergent and water, using a soft cloth or sponge.
- Do not use abrasive pads, solvents or harsh chemical cleaners on graphics.
- Do not use high-pressure washers close to graphics or at their edges.
- Do not use automatic brush car washes on vehicle wraps.
- Report any lifting edges or damage early, as small faults can spread.
Condition of Warranty
These warranties apply once the invoice for the relevant Goods and Installation has been paid in full. This condition applies to this schedule only and does not affect any right a customer has under the Australian Consumer Law.

The warranties above do not cover:
- Vandalism, accidental damage, or damage caused by others after installation.

Making a Claim
To claim, the Goods must be within the warranty period and the invoice must be paid in full. Please notify Alpha Lewis in writing as soon as reasonably possible after noticing a fault, addressed to our principal place of business below, with a copy by email. Please include clear photos of the fault, the whole sign and its surroundings with your notice. For installed signs, Alpha Lewis will review the photos first and then decide whether a site inspection is needed before agreeing a remedy. Where a claim is accepted, Alpha Lewis will repair or replace the affected Goods, in line with clause 7 of the Terms and Conditions, and there is no charge for a site inspection. If an inspection shows the fault is not covered by this warranty, Alpha Lewis may charge for the site visit, and will tell the customer the amount before attending. The customer bears their own expenses of making a claim under this warranty. This does not affect any right to recover reasonable costs under the Australian Consumer Law. To recover costs you may be entitled to, include the details and receipts with your claim.
